We pride ourselves in healthy, strong, and well-socialized kids and adults. Because we are present for every labor and delivery, our goats are handled from birth and bottle-raised from a young age.
AVAILABILITY AND DISCOUNTS
All available kids and adults will be listed on our website, our Facebook farm page, and/or on MeWe. A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to hold any goat. Purchasing 3 or more goats from us will qualify you for a 5% discount on your total purchase price. We also offer additional discounts to youth involved with 4-H and FFA as well as herds involved in ADGA Performance Programs.
DEPOSITS
Deposits are not refundable, unless something happens to the goat while in our care or your desired gender is not born, at which time the deposit will be refunded or transferred toward the purchase of an offspring of a different planned breeding. Please make sure you are prepared to bring your goat home before you pay for them. Deposits may be made via PayPal or cash in person.
PICK UP AND TRANSPORT
Pick up is required 14 days from deposit or birth, whichever is later. If needed, an extended boarding period past the 10 days may be arranged for an additional $3.00 per day per goat. All sales are local pickup only unless you have made shipping arrangements with us prior to purchase. Sometimes we are able to transport your goat to shows with us for a nominal fee if arrangements are made in advance. If we do not hear from you after the 14-day deposit/birth period, or the buyer backs out of the sale, the deposit is forfeited and the goat becomes available to the next buyer.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
Our goats are guaranteed to be free of CAE and abscesses at time of purchase. Lorberau Legacy Farms is not responsible for the health of goats once they leave the farm. All goats that leave our farm are well-cared for and stress-free, therefore are outwardly healthy and show no signs of illness. Moving to a new home, being weaned, or being surrounded by new people and animals can cause stress to the animal and health issues can quickly follow. We highly recommend you have a working relationship with a trusted veterinarian before you take your new goat home. If your goat becomes ill, contact your vet immediately for assistance.
KID CARE
For kids purchased before weaning, the buyer will be responsible for providing health care and routine management from the time they depart from our farm. Kids that stay on our farm until weaning (8 weeks old) will be disbudded, vaccinated, and dewormed prior to weaning.
